I have a 3500i that has been printing fine, now it's throwing a PCL XL error and Input read error, I have changed the PDL setting but it's still giving me the error. Anyone have ideas on this code?

Perhaps the problem is not the print emulation, but that someone is using an HP print driver? In large organizations it can be hard to account for all the PC's and print drivers.
The only sure way is to change the IP address of the printer, then change the port on each driver you find. At that time you can also check that it's the proper driver. Any drivers that you don't find ... well they can just stay on the old IP address, and your problem is solved. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
